Volunteering
Who are we?
Dave2 Volunteering consists of two British ex-volunteers and one Ghanaian resident. Dave Coles and Dave Thorp met whilst volunteering in Ho in 2006 and have both been back to Ghana since. They volunteered coaching football and teaching in a local school. They fell in love with Ghana so much that they returned in 2008 to watch Ghana in the African Cup of Nations and see more of the country.
Dave Coles completed a History and Politics degree at Cardiff in 2005 and Dave Thorp completed a Geography degree at Birmingham in 2007. They are both keen footballers and love to travel the world.
Daniel Agbogah is the sports master at St Cecelia’s School and has been involved with volunteers for many years. He is also the head coach of the football team. He loves anything Ghanaian and can’t wait to see them win the World Cup in South Africa in 2010. Daniel is always on hand to help volunteers settle into the Ghanaian way of life. He is also amazingly supportive of the children he teaches.
